You could drop hints or try flirting with her. If she goes along with it then you kind of have an answer, and if she just jokes around with it or brushes it off, then you're still okay because a lot of guys flirt with their female friends just for the h**l of it. She might brush it off because she thinks you are just kidding, but usually you can gauge a girl's response.
