Another report says the 2012 Olympics were not costed correctly, surely we should cancel them?

How much more of taxpayers money is going to be wasted bringing a sporting event to London. The city is riddled with street crime and faces daily threats from muslims, I do not want my money to be wasted on sport just so Brown (and Blair) can take some intial glory. Surley the money would be better geting clean hospitals, better schools and sending illegal immigrants home.

Too late to cancel them. I agree with your suggestions with what the money should be spent on.

It's crazy that we will spend a fortune on people jumping over things and running around in circles for a few weeks.

I want the Olympics here.  I think that it should be a fantastic event.

Hoewever I thnik tha Lord Coe etc should be held up for deceipt.  The Proposals they made were completely fictitious.  Their cisting were totally made up.

Probably under pressure from the government in their aim to look good.

Winning the Olympics was part of Labour strategy to convince us all that that things were great!!

They were not and had not been for long time.

once again Labour has lied to us, we cannot afford the money and Coe has obviously not been truthful but then he is also a politician.  We are fast becoming a third world country full of blacks and browns living off the state. Cancel the games and close the borders with a big EXIT ONLY sign

Completely agree, we have our priorities all wrong.  

Every country goes daft and spends millions trying to outdo each other every 4 years at taxpayers expense.  And for what?  It's just one big propaganda excercise which fools no one.

Time the Olympics were given a permanent home, probably in Greece,  with each participating country contributing to their cost.
