  1. Oh yes Keothovong, a fine British name. Says it all about Britain today. And to answer your question, no.

  2. Probably not, but then again is Americans womens tennis on the up?  Outside of the Williams sisters, there is no real successor in the wings.  The flood of young Russians and the 2 Serbs (Ana, Jelena) will most likely dominate for quite some time.  Also keep in mind that there can only be 1 winner each tournament, so there are a lot of talented players coming up short each week.

  3. well, keothovang is a decent player but she just doesn't have the consistency nor a strong weapon to really tear up the tour. you also have to realise this is grass and she is a brit so she does have a more natural feel. but her game is decent enough to ruffle some feathers on a rusty venus who has not played all that much and has not been winning that much either.

  4. Venus is playing someone who she has never played before and this can be a very nerve racking task.  You have to be able to figure out their play and then work with it.  Also remember that Venus haven't been playing well but Venus is always able to win.  That's what experience teaches you.  There is no match so far that was as scary as Ana yesterday against the French.

  5. Yes. The British are putting somewhat of an effort of bringing their players up to top form. They are improving and there will be another British Wimbledon champion. =D

  6. Don't know Sweet - they always seem to do ok in the early rounds at Wimbledon, but that's just one tournament - what about the rest of the year?  Until female British players consistently do well on the tour (as Andy Murray has done), there will be no-one to really threaten the top players.

  7. yes British is impriving in young talent when it comes to tennis

  8. It's certainly better than it has been, but let's face it - they may have both given her a run for her money, but a miss is as good as a mile.
