Question:

Another speaker question, making a 8 ohm cabinet?

Ok this may be a bit complex so try to keep up. I am trying to make a 8 ohm cabinet. So what I've got so far is two 4 ohm speakers wired in series running now at 8 ohms, then I've got two 16 ohm speakers wired in parallel to make them run at 8 ohms.

So here is my problem

a) I will need one more speaker, considering that now with these two speaker configurations put together it will either put out 16 ohms if I wire it in series, in which case I'll need another 16 ohm speaker wired with them in parallel to make it all 8 ohms, or if I wire them in parallel it will be putting 4 ohms in which case I will need another 4 ohm speaker wired in series with them to make it 8 ohms.

It gives me a headache, but i understand it. Now is this possible? Any diagrams for combining speaker configurations, I know how to wire 1 or 2 speakers to 1 input, but how would I combine all these together to one input?

all the diagrams are available on that website .plus you might learn more about impedence to avoid confusion.

the same confusions happened to me too when i started learning bout these stuff, but being a science student it was easy for me :)

    good luck!
