So just now I was sitting here innocently on my computer, I took a sip of water, and when i swallowed it there was this little something (kind of felt like an extremely small pebble) that I felt myself swallow as well. Immediately after I tasted blood and realized that my top left wisdom tooth spot (?) was bleeding. Since then its stopped bleeding but what the h**l was that about? Should I be worried?

  1. It could have been a little piece of tooth. Sometimes the teeth break when they're extracting them and they don't manage to get all the pieces. This happened to me. You shouldn't worry about it as long as the bleeding stops.

  2. ya its normal. you could have just had a small peice of bone in there. I had that. for like 2 months when it finally fell out it bleed. Its fine.

  3. It could have been some type of food or plaque stuck in the gums and it might have been agitating your gums all along but it finally started to  bleed once it came out.  Teeth are rooted so deep that I really don't think that it was your wisdom teeth that you were swallowing.

  4. You do not have to worry if the bleeding has stopped as you have already got the extraction done. It may be some food particle that got stuck in the healing socket which came in the mouth.
