I am an American and have just gotten my work permit in Bahrain. I am still in U.S and it is being sent to me. Question is can my wife a children travel with me to Bahrain. (Singaporean and American decent) I know they can get tourist visas but can their family visas be processed while they are in the country? My employer is saying they will have to leave for ten days while it is being processed? I have heard otherwise from different forums and cant seem to get thru to immigration in Bahrain. thanks

  2. Your family's visa can be processed while they are in Bahrain on visit visas and they dont have to go out of the country for 10 days. The visit visa would be converted to family visa after they get it from LMRA.

In order to apply for your family visa you need to first get a place to stay and sign the contract. After which your residence permit and CPR card is obtained. Once that is obtained your family visa will be applied for and it takes max 10 days to get.

  3. If they hold American PP, there is absolutely no problem in entering Bahrain. Their family visas can be processed after entry.
