Anotherbuck expected to win Hunters’ Chase
With Cazenove Capital Management Buccleuch Cup Maiden Hunters’ Chase set to take place at Kelso racecourse on April 2, Anotherbuck is leading the betting market on the basis of some of his eye-catching performances in previous outings, and his excellent racing skills.
The C. Storey-trained bay gelding, Anotherbuck is all set to show his guts against 11 potential competitors:
Montauk Highway,
Dontpassgo,
Coole Murphy,
Reland,
Hurlstone Tower,
Hawthorne Bay,
Amulree,
So It Will Be,
Risk Assesment, and
Beau Traveller.
The high-stakes Class 5 contest over 3m1f distance will commence at 4:30 (GMT). The event has £2,496 in purse.
Since the very beginning of his career in October 2008, Anotherbuck has been performing marvellously. The maverick horse clinched a runner-up rank in his first three races.
The ten-year-old veteran runner accomplished his first and last victory on April 8, 2009. Since that time, he has been on rest.
Storey has properly utilised this long break to train his gelding from all possible aspects, eliminating all his fault lines and infusing plenty of confidence in him.
As Anotherbuck is returning to action today, a number of punters are staking money in favour of the talented gelding’s victory.
The sprinter’s chances to finish first in the race are more than 85 percent, but at the same time, there lies a lot of uncertainty about his performance.
Among the other runners, Highland Cathedral and Coole Murphy are likely to perform well in the race.
Highland Cathedral made his debut in October 2010 and grabbed 7th spot in his maiden race.
In his second last outing, the James Walton-trained gelding excellently finished 3rd. Overall, he has run for four times to date.
On the other hand, Coole Murphy elegantly notched up a 4th position in the only race of his career on March 3, 2012. Mrs Clare Moore’s bay gelding has plenty of talent.
Come what may, success seems to be bending on Anotherbuck.
However, Coole Murphy will surely challenge his favourite position on the track.
Let us see who gains what.
Good luck to all the runners.
