Question:

Anovulatory Periods?

I think most of the time I have anovulatory periods because my first BBT chart never rise (i'm on my 2nd one now) and my periods come late. I was wondering, I just had my period too and it took 65 days to come back after my other period on June 16. If I do have anovulatory periods, then what triggers my period to come if not for ovulation?

  1. When the egg doesn't release then progesterone isn't made so the estrogen in your body goes unoppossed. This estrogen causes the lining of the uterus to thicken and it eventually sheds in the form of uterine bleeding, your period.

  2. I really  don't  know, but i am  also anovulatory(last cycle was 73 days). I began clomid this  cycle. i am pretty sure i ovulated yesterday and really excited cos when i ovulated before clomid(last time i did was in feb) i wouldn't  ovulate  till 3weeks and one day  after af. even if i don't get a bfp this  time it looks like i will have a shorter cycle. Believe me, that's good news.
