  1. Assuming it's sqrt(3x + 10) = x + 2

    square both sides:

    3x + 10 = x² + 4x + 4

    0 = x² + x - 6

    0 = (x + 3) (x - 2)

    x = -3 or 2

    sqrt(-9 + 10) = -1 = -3 + 2

    sqrt(6 + 10) = 4 = 2 + 2

  2. x^2+4x+4=3x+10

    x^2-x-6=0

    (x-3)(x+2)=0

    x=3 or x = 2

  3. √ (3x+10) = x+2

    3x+10 = (x+2)²

    3x + 10 = x² + 4x + 4

    0 = x² + 4x + 4 - 3x - 10

    0 = x² + x - 6

    0 = (x - 3) (x + 2)

    x = 3 or x = -2
