Question:

Answer reported?

Okay, I answered Birthdad in h**l's question about his daughter being STOLEN from him. I did not violate Yahoo TOS. I didn't use foul language, rant, etc. I simply said that he should fight, and that the adoptive parents were absolutely complicit in what happened, not victims. Anyway, my answer is no longer there. I'm assuming it was reported? How can I find out who reported me? Can you find out and report someone for wrongly reporting you?

  1. Hi Erin,

I get answers and questions deleted too.  As far as questions they do notify me but for my answers being deleted i did not get any notification.  IDK.  Guess you're a member of the club now! :)

  2. If your answer was removed by Yahoo, they sent you a notice telling you why.

We are not the ones you need to discuss this with.  Contact Yahoo.

    cw

  3. Yes it happens to those of us who DARE To speak out against the *other side*

The latest one for me which of course they just will not answer you about was the guy asking for a baby...I exposed him..But someone it was considered solicitation on My behalf

Oh and that was after his nasty little emails...

    ITs very One sided

  4. I've been getting reported for weird reasons lately.  I don't know what the deal is, and even though I suspect who's doing the reporting, I really don't care to do anything about it.  It just proves how insensitive they are, and that they're obviously not the kind of person I'd bother wasting my time on anyway.

You can't find out who reported you.  You can appeal the decision when they email you to say that your answer has been taken down in violation of the TOS.  I've never had an appeal go through, but many people have.

I've heard of people before mentioning that a person reported them wrongly, and when the name is mentioned, Y!A seems to listen up a bit more.  I'm sure that doesn't happen every time, but if you have an inkling of who might be pulling this junk on you, you can mention their name in your appeal, and maybe someone will pay attention (if you were right about who's reporting you, that is).  That's a long shot, especially if you don't know who's doing the reporting, but if you're fairly certain of who it is, it might be worth a try.

I wish you luck.  I know how frustrating this is.  I just try not to let it bother me, because I don't want to be putting as much time and effort into it as the person who's wasting their time stalking me.  I'm just not all that interested in their whiny opinions, KWIM?

  5. I don't know how to find out, but DO protest it!!! When I get violations I always protest and most of the time they are restored.

I've tried getting them to let me know who reported me, but they won't.  I read your reply and it wasn't in violation at all from what I can remember.

    grrr...

  6. i remember seeing your answer.  and have been wondering what happened to it.  thank you for confirming my sanity  thought i was further gone than i remember going (lol). sorry this happened

  7. people just seem to report for the sake of it on here. Maybey they have boring little lives.

Dont worry, Try and appeal it.

  8. that happens when you annoy a PAP.  get used to it.  i get violation notices all day long.

  10. If your answer was reported, then you would receive a violation notice from Yahoo Answers telling you so.
