  1. basically theres no such thing as a lazy brit. they just dont get the chance to do the jobs as the management employ the foreigners because they know they will do the job at a worse standard but for a smaller salary.

immigration effectively doesnt help the economy because although people  are doing the jobs and there are more people, the immigrants are s******g us of the money, when they get benefits. that money adds up

immigration does boost crime as the immigrants do tend not to understand the laws. for example in there native country, it might be allowed to steal food from a shop or to hit someone, but its not in this country so they are criminals. i hope this helps

  2. you have to qualify your question....legal or illegal immigrants.............only the former might do statement one

  3. Be sure to also thoroughly research the pro-immigration arguments. You will need to know your opponents' probable strategies ahead of time, and it may help you personally since you seem to be actually believing anti-immigrant nonsense like "immigration boosts crime." If you are arguing that immigrants take jobs away from Brits, the logical conclusion would be that unemployed persons are more likely to commit crimes than employed ones. If you make that argument, your opponents will rebut it in a heartbeat.

  4. Just to let you know: I'm very pro-immigration. But I'm a pretty seasoned debater, so I hope I can help you argue for the other side.

1: The 'lazy Brits' is a myth. there are plenty of unemployed Britons who would be more than happy to perform these jobs, are are often better-trained than their counterparts in Eastern Europe. The industrial decline in the UK has left a lot of people jobless who could work in the industries now being filled by immigrants. The only reason they're not doing so is because immigrants are prepared to pay for less.

2: As I've mentioned, immigrants don't do work Britons wouldn't, so they don't plug a gap in the economy as some suppose. They also have problems paying taxes etc, as the forms are in English. Finally, a lot of the money they make leaves the UK economy when they send it back home.

3: This isn't true. Crime rates are even amongst Britons and immigrants: the media just plays it up when immigrants commit crimes. You're going to have to find another argument.
