i have a painted turtle and it is about 6 inches long in a like 20 gallon tank is that animal abouse and i was going to put a like quater sized map turtle in with it until the map turtle gets about 3 or 2 inches and i have a soft shell turtle in a 20 gallon tank and he is about 1 inch long and he is alone in the tank is this animal abouse

No, as the animals are not all that large yet.

HOWEVER. They will get bigger and they will require larger housing. ^^ And if you raise them properly, they will grow quite quickly. It may just be best to save yourself the future hassle of having them re-adjust to another aquarium and also to make sure they grow as large as they possibly can, without being stunted, you'd be best to place them in a larger aquarium.
