i like the KTM's cuz there mad,,,but i herd there more expensive for parts

which one in your opinion i shud buy???,,,my use for the bike will be riding through bush,,,,riding around race tracks,,and learning small jumps and freestyle..pretty much mucking around wit mates on acreage.

  1. The 2 stroke 250...ANY 250cc 2 stroke 250 is going to perform as good as a 450cc (or more) 4 stroke. That's just a given.

Anyone that says different is lying or a moron - I let them choose which they prefer to be called.

Many 2 strokes will have a separate 2 stroke oil tank, so you don't have to mix. The bike mixes it as it uses it.

2 strokes also don't have those pesky cams and valves and timing chains to worry about. Much simpler design = less to go wrong.

In short, if you're going to go 250cc, and want something that won't bore you to death in 4 months, get a 2 stroke. I don't care WHICH 2 stroke really, just get a 2 stroke.

I've owned both, and right now I am rebuilding a 750 four 4 stroke. What happened? sprocket fell off the intake cam, and exhaust valves bent the intake valves cracking the valve guides in the process. Something that could never happen on a 2 stroke! This bike would be a write-off if taken to a shop for repairs! Parts alone are $350 to fix this thing. The only reasons I am fixing it are 1)my best friend gave it to me and 2) this specific model happens to be rare.

  2. 4 stroke

  3. chicks dig dirt bikes

  4. Put a Honda between your legs if you've got eight inches or less.  KTM won't need any specific length but will turn it hot orange.  Suzuki needs a bigger pair than most owners have.

  5. i say get the 4 strokes, with the power of the F-class they can pretty much keep up with any 2 stroke. id say get the honda, honda is a great brand that never lets down. KTMs are too much work and are expensive. yamaha is good too, but im not a fan.

  6. Its your choice 4 strokes run just as fast as 2 strokes nowadays honda or yamaha either one I woudn't get a KTM

  7. check the manuals on the 4 strokes, they are supposed to be rebuilt on the top end every 40 hours or so. They are different than the older long stroke 4 strokes. The 2strokes need to be rebuilt more often but can be rebuilt much cheeper.

  8. honda  or yamaha 250 4 stroke are both great bikes- my preference is honda. either one is a good choice- id stay away from the KTM

  9. honda four stroke. unless you're gonna race, there's no real practical reason to own a two stroke these days...

  10. just so you know, you are comparing different class bikes

    a 250cc 4 stroke is compared to a 125cc 2 stroke

if you are just starting  out go with a 250 four stroke or a 125

    2 stroke.

if i was buying a new one from your list i would go with yamaha 250cc 2 stroke.    it is to bad honda stopped making them
