If one of the interior angles of a polygon is 135 degrees. What is one of the angles at the center. Hence how many sides has the polygon?

  1. I think you mutiple that number until its divisible by 360 and that is your answer

    n-2=interior angles

    i think not sure though

  2. ok I'm a little rusty (haven't done this in about 15 years) but to find the # of sides I'm pretty sure you use the equation:

        

    x= 360/ 180-y         or... 'x' equals 360 over 180 minus 'y'

        

    y would equal 135 so that give you an 8 sided polygon

  3. the exterior angles of a polygon always add up to 360° and if the interior angle is 135° the exterior angle will be 45° (exterior angle is always what you need to get to 180° --> 180° - 135° = 45°)

    So just divide 360° by 45° and you'll get the number of sides:

    360/45 = 8 sides
