  1. Yes there is - but it will be best if your dial-up modem is a tapi voice modem.

Here's a program that will help you do it - www.callclerk.com

    (I wrote it).

Here's some more info about modems:

    Hope this helps

  2. Not a nice idea

  3. I think there is a sight or a program you can buy.  Also if you have yahoo messenger you can call cell phones with that program as long as you have a microphone and a speaker.

  4. When I used Dial-up, I ordered 'Call Forwarding' from the phone company. That way, I could be on the computer, and get all my calls forwarded to my cell phone next to me.!! Works great. (As long as your cell phone has a local number to your HOME phone service.) Otherwise, there will be a small charge for a 'toll' call, from a nearby area. With Call Forwarding, it is just *72 plus your cell number to activate, (you must answer the cell, or do it again). To turn off Call Forwarding, just dial *73......

  5. I think the best way is to just get a dry loop DSL. With dry loop DSL you do not need a house phone just DSL. After you get the DSL you can then get Vonage or SKYPE and keep your home number. That is what I would recommend. If you get Vonage you can forward your calls to your cell phone for free.
