  1. When the child arrives at the centre, greet the parent and child immediately (this should be done by the childs primary carer at the centre). Remember that infants look to their parents for behaviour cues, so a relaxed and happy parent is essential!

Support attachment behaviours (Bowlby)- allow opportunities for the parent/ primary caregiver to interact with the child in the centred environment. This can be especially effective if the child and parent can play with a toy, or do a puzzle, etc together in the centre.

Don't rush the routine- allow plenty of time for the transition.

Ensure that the child has access to any comforters that he/ she uses.

Develop a 'goodbye routine' so that children can wave goodbye to mum or dad as they leave the child at the centre.

Use the child's comforter to prevent distress, also consider using a favourite toy as a distraction.

  2. YES TO ALL THOSE QUESTIONS.  SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK.

  3. You probably need the guardian to child ratio, look into food and beverages for the young kids, as well as the hygiene aspect of dealing with child problem. Safety and first aids as well as medical care in short notice.

Otherwise, looks like you got most covered. Oh, activities for kids and expect deviations.
