Ant infestation?

Question

I bought a bag of lab blocks from a local pet shop today, and after placing my iced tea on the floor and ignoring it a few hours, was happily greeted with the site of ants. In my cup. On my floor. Everywhere. I sprayed all the visible ones around, but I'm wondering, if there are any left (which I'm certain there are), how long will it take for them to die?

put a bunch of ant traps around!

otherwise, if you think it's a big problem, bomb the house. I don't mean that literally, I think you probably know what I mean... but that's drastic.
