I'm so sad for these 2 guys... especially to happy-go-lucky Sato.

  1. Hopefully they will get to drive in other teams.

EDiT: Sato has a playfulness about him that I like and he can be quite exciting to watch. And Davidson - well I think he should be given another opportunity to develop more. He's over-shadowed by other Brits but I thinks theres potentially a lot more to him.

He's level-headed and intelligent - He could shine.

  2. u know they never had a good future. Its good to see them out of F1. They had only one work to do : being overtaken twice by the leaders.

  3. Well hopefully we will get some more teams in the future that would look to experienced drivers like Anthony and Taku... but in the current climate that seems unlikely.. F1 isn't an attractive proposition at the moment.. so its more likely that they will be in line to replace those veterans at some point (both DC and Rubens are coming to the end of their careers) and drivers with their experience and skill will be highly sought after... in the mean time it wouldn't do them any harm to take a testing role and maybe do some other racing... Sportscars... maybe Indycar...

  4. Sato says he wants to go on in F1.

So he'll be looking for a test driver seat as a temporary solution in the hope he'll be promoted to race driver status.

His experience may be appealing and he may have good backing but teams may prefer younger drivers in order to both evaluate them and also provide them with some experience with the car.

They're always on the look out for the next hotshot.

I don't see Davidson somewhere in this picture though I'm afraid.

  5. It's really a shame that Super Aguri had to withdraw from the championship. Some other teams might offer them a test seat or something. Or even a race seat, who knows? Even if they won't be in f1, they couldbe racing in another series. I just hope it's not street racing, you know, the illegal ones.

  6. I think Sato will become a test driver for one of the other teams, probably a small one like Force India.  Davidson is probably done with his chances in F1 and will have to find a new racing series to take part in.  I think maybe he could make it in the new IRL here in America because of the big merger with CART.

  7. I'm sure they will be picked up as backup or test drivers by one of the existing F1 teams.  A young team like FA could use an experienced racer like Sato both on the track and during testing.  RBR and Honda also both need drivers in the near future to replaceCoulthard and Barichello who are two of the oldest active drivers on the grid.
