Anthony Davis humble about being the Top Prospect in this year`s NBA draft – NBA Update
With a fresh group of youngsters ready to join the big league this year, the Draft lottery on Wednesday night will reveal a lot about how the picks are going to be panned out come the NBA Draft.
Anthony Davis, who is expected to be drafted as the number 1 pick this year, has opened up about the prospect of him being selected while awaiting the result of the lottery.
Davis, who led the Kentucky Wildcats by averaging double-double figures to win the NCAA Championship, has been training at the school facilities in order for him to be as much ready as he can become for NBA.
However he is still very humble and has stated that there is no assurance of the fact that he is going to be the number one pick and is just very happy that he will get to fulfil his dream of playing in the NBA.
"No one knows who is the No. 1 pick? I don't know if I'm going to be the No. 1 pick. It's just a rumour. But I'm a step closer to reaching my dream of playing in the NBA."
Along with the National Championship, Davis also won all the individual honours college basketball had to offer last year. He was the consensus player of the year, the defensive player of the year and the most outstanding player
of the final four – all of these awards coming in just one year at college.
Davis has also been named among the players who are going to go through a camp for the US Olympic Mission in July.
Anthony has opted not to hire an agent for the draft and is being represented by his father, Anthony Sr.  
The young power forward has been training with the manager of the Wildcats, Will Martin. The purpose of these drills has been to get Davis up to speed with the amount of physicality and the highest level of fitness, he will experience
in the mega event;
"I'm trying to make sure that I'm in great shape, getting in a good lift and putting up a lot of shots," said Davis. "My goal is to be ready to play with these guys (on the Olympic team)."
On Wednesday, Charlotte Bobcats have the best chance at 25% of winning the lottery pick and they are one team desperate for a player like Davis. Washington Wizards stand at second with 19.9% probability whereas Cleveland Cavaliers
have a 13.8% chance.
