Stage 2 general classifications leader, Allan Davis, had a disappointing day and could only manage the eighth spot during the race.
He commented after the race, "It wasn't really rocket science ... there are two races in one, with the individual stage honour and the overall. We wanted to get someone in the break from our team and that was 'Durbo' today. We got second again, [but] we
maintained the leader's jersey and we had a crack at the stage win and nearly got both”.
Despite his unsatisfactory performance on the third day of the race, Davis secured the top general classifications position.
He currently holds 21 points to his credit whereas the stage 3 winner, Anthony Giacoppo, has reached to the second position with 17 points.
Caleb Ewan continued his third place dominance as Bernie Sulzberger dropped down to the fourth spot after the stage 3 classifications.

GreenEdge’s men could not match the top performances of their women’s squad. Four GreenEdge-AIS cyclists finished among the top five at the third stage.
Shara Gillow won the stage and became the first ever cyclist to claim a stage win for the Australian squad.
On the other hand, GreenEdge men’s squad could only manage the 6th spot with Mitch Docker finishing more than a minute behind the stage winner Anthony Giacoppo.
Bernie Sulzberger is currently leading the Sprint Ace Competition with 12 points to his credit. Mitch Docker and Anthony Giacoppo claimed the second and third positions, with 9 and 6 points, respectively.
