Anthony Pannier captures Men’s 1500m freestyle gold: 2012 French Short Course Nationals
Anthony Pannier of AAS Sarcelles Natation 95 captured gold medal of the Men’s 1500m freestyle on third day of 2012 French Short Course Nationals on Saturday, November 17.
Pannier devastated hopes of his opponents in the distant freestyle discipline as he showed his urgency towards the finishing blockade for gold medal.
With his notable efforts in the 1500m event, Pannier remained prominently ahead of his competitors and reached the finishing wall by producing a time of 14 minutes and 38.32 seconds.
The champion was followed by Enzo Vial Collet of Mulhouse On, who stayed almost 15 seconds slower and concluded his race in second place by submitting a time of 14 minutes and 53.10 seconds.
Collet was followed by Axel Reymond of As le Plessis-Savigny, who was 7.30 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and completed the podium by winning bronze medal with a timing of 15 minutes and 00.40 seconds.
The third position holder was followed by Benoit Debast of AAS Sarcelles Natation 95, who stayed 3.30 seconds behind and settled on the finishing blockade for fourth position by reporting a time of 15 minutes and 03.70 seconds.
Fifth fastest spot of the event was obtained by Damien Joly of Olympic Nice Natation, who stayed considerably slower from his foregoing finisher and touched the wall with a timing of 15 minutes and 09.86 seconds.
Joly was followed by Lucas Vigorito of CN Marseille, who stayed almost two and a half body length slower from his foregoing finisher and concluded his race in sixth place by clocking an effort of 15 minutes and 12.27 seconds.
Vigorito was followed by Luca Fasulo of CN Antibes, who was nearly five seconds behind and touched the wall with a timing of 15 minutes and 17.98 seconds for seventh place.
Fasulo was followed by Joris Bouchaut of Dauphins Toulouse OEC, who stayed 0.38 seconds slower and posted an effort of 15 minutes and 18.36 seconds for eighth position.
In addition, Pannier was happy with his title claiming effort in the 1500m discipline and stressed that he would try hard to continue the same in future events.
