Anthropologist's pay, work?

I am wondering what an average anthropologist makes per year, starting and also maybe 5, 10 years down the road. I am also wondering where Id start looking for a job as an anthropologist. I am thinking about choosing anthropology as my major and id like some advice from an actual anthropologist if possible.

its around $30k to $40k per year and can go up to 60/70 in around 9yrs.  u can apply for many types of job - eg HR,  research besides the real digging in excavation sites wh is more plentiful.  many firms employ grads of various disciplines so as to enrich / enlarge their pool of talent and diversity.  

no worries - sure to get a job...

Pay depends a lot on where you are employeed and what your job description is - many companies employee Social Anthropologists in their personell departments.
