Anthropologist who used personal bias when studing a culture?

I'm doing a paper on bad anthropologist in history ... and I need examples of anthropologist who had judged cultures, and used ethnocentric terms or who were just not objective on their study of peoples and cultures.

  1. Anthropologists spend a lot of time accusing each other of ethnocentrism.  However, I think your best bet may be to look for someone radical.  A radical feminist might be a good idea becuase of the tendency to interpret everything as oppression fo women.  You can find all the big names accused of ethnocentrism though.  It's very difficult to escape one's own cultural bias, particularly the parts that we think of as being natural but are actually cultural.

  3. Maybe you should read a book called Forbidden Archeology, By  Michael A Cremo & Richard L Thompson, It is the Hidden History of the Human Race and why it was all swept under the carpet. I believe this is a must for budding Anthropologists.
