Anti Virus 2009 please help

I went a web site and it automatically started to scan my computer so I've done a system restore but now there is major problem with my pc accounts and users is blank and system restore options are blank when i use the internet it says your being directed to a new url whats happened is it a virus (cannot restore the computer back because the window is blank) if it is a virus is my music infected or can i back it up and reinstall when i reboot in F8

That thing kept popping up when I had a virus. Use windows defender or mcafee to get rid of it.

Hey there, i have a video on youtube that is a step by step guide on how to delete Antivirus 2008, and i know u have the 2009 version, but i think the process of deleting them both will be the same.

Download (or get someone else to download) Malwarebytes antimalware

and run a scan immediately; you have been infected by rogue antimalware

it will clear up any other infections on your system; it also has a set of repair tools to restore system operations.

Make sure your Windows Updates are current; turn on your firewall or use a good third party firewall such as Comodo; if you use Internet Explorer make sure it is version 7 and that antiphishing is turned on; better still use Firefox.

I take it you went to a website that you shouldn't have and got a virus downloaded that has wiped your PC and screwed it up.

This is common place - the site downloaded a software package that redirects you to their or their associates sites - a scam that can invlove costly phone charges.

Try and run your anti virus software in SAFE MODE - shut down and restart as it boots up tap the F8 key until you get the SAFE MODE option - then select SAFE MODE and allow it to start - the run your anti virus software - I hope you have one and kept it up to date ???

Wipe the PC and start again is the best bet - what you had you have probably lost.

Reinstall your system programe with your disk, XP/Vista.  Before you do that run a virus scan.  You could also try system restore, it,s in your computer, you can use this to restore your computer back  to before you downloaded A/V 2009.
