Question:

Anti-abortion people, why in Earth do you meddle with other people's choices?

Fair enough, you may choose to not practice abortion in your own life but why do pro-life people have to meddle with other people's decisions over their bodies, which are not easily made by the way? Do you know that abortion is legal and objecting a woman or a couple's private choice to terminate a pregnancy is like objecting any other rightful choices you might have made? Do people come to your door and protest you for your personal choices?

  1. I have never gone to any body's door protesting about them having an abortion. The point I make sometimes is,did you ever notice that those people who support abortion have already been born? Females go on about, "it is my body and I am in charge of what happens to it". That is absolutely fine and fully accepted but if you were so in charge of your own body why and how come did you get pregnant in the first place?

  2. you cant do whatever you want with your body. ex, I cant punch you in your face. Why? Because it hurts another person. Just like "termination" kills ANOTHER person. Ya'll use semantics to make your arguement. The word "choice" is your whole argument! No, we do not have the freedom of choice. You cannot destory a life that does not belong to you. You could have been terminated with no say....and yet here you are, advocating murder.

  3. I don't think the government should have anything to do with the issue of abortion.  It is a woman's choice, not a government's choice.

  4. < "Do people come to your door and protest you for your personal choices?">

    Think this through, please.

Child Protective Services will show up at your house if your kid's teacher calls them because she sees bruises on him.

I can't allow my own children under 21 to drink alcohol.

Would you call the Human Society if your neighbor was beating his dog?

Doctors are required to call the authorities if they suspect spousal abuse.

Why should  a school nurse be able to give my 14-year old daughter birth control pills without my knowledge?

I have to give permission for her to get aspirin.

If she has any medical problems with them, I have to pay the doctor bills.

Obama says that the FIRST law he will sign if elected is the Freedom of Choice Act, eliminating all existing restrictions on abortion, which would include allowing minors to get abortions without parental knowledge and the Hyde Amendment's ban on federal funding.

THAT meddles with MY choices for MY minor children and MY tax money.

  5. You may choose not to murder in your own life, but don't stop me from shooting my neighbor!

Do you see how ridiculous that is?  We're talking about slaughtering a baby not what flavor of ice cream you want to order!

  6. Since when is murder a choice?  I guess I didn't get that memo.  Didn't realize I had the right to kill someone because caring for them was inconvenient.

It's not "meddling" in others' lives - it's *protecting* the defenseless.  Big difference.

  7. Anti-murder people, why do you meddle with other people's choices.  You may not choose to murder yourself, but why meddle with other people's decisions...

I'm not in favor of a ban on abortions, but you really need a better argument than that.

  8. They want us all to starve to death once the world overpopulates.

  9. And just when did any unborn child choose to be killed through abortion?

  10. Once the government has the right to tell citizens what to do with their decisions, then the government can tell the citizens what decisions to make.

When better options are available, more people may choose to make different decisions.

When citizens decisions are influenced by the government or an alternate belief system, then the citizens are no longer free deciders.

  11. Abortion is murder.  That is why we care.  And sometimes it kills 2 people at once... the baby (physically) and the mother (emotionally.)

If you murdered your neighbor or your post man, you would have a lot of people in your business!  You would have a lot of people making your decisions for you for the rest of your life.

It shouldn't be any different when you kill an innocent child.

I'm not protested because I lead a very calm and respectable life.  It isn't hard either.  Put others before your self and be responsible for your own actions.

  12. You're right!! And people should stop telling me not to abuse MY child!

I made them, I can do anything I want with them. And since I gave them life, I have every right to take their life!

  13. Because it is not simply a choice over "my own body", but fundamentally over another human life.  OK, OK, I have hear the "it's just tissue" and what not about when life begins, but consider this...barring outside interference (whether from man, or infection, or whatever), a pregnancy WILL result in a human life so regardless of when it is alive, the life WILL be.  I am simply concerned with that person's right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness".  I also understand about rape and an exception for the health of the mother, but let's face it...the vast majority of abortions are simply done for convience.  That is what concerns me...life isn't an inconvience.

Besides, overturning Roe V. Wade doesn't automatically make abortions illegal.  It simply makes the issue one to be decided by the states (on a state by state basis), which is where it should be.  The people will then have the voice that the bloated federal governemtn prevents us from having.  I don't want the federal government to decide whether it is legal or illegal...it's not their place.  Read the constitution...It amazes me how so many Americans are ignorant of that document and the role the federal government was supposed to have versus what it has now.

  14. And to add to it, how many of them are adopting or fostering waiting children? When these anti abortionist people condemn another because they think they "know" when life begins, let's not forget not only the babies needing to adopted, BUT teens, kids with mental and physical disabilities, and that come in a variety of colors. Those, for a fact are living human beings. So, the next preacher wanna-be, tell us your sermon only AFTER you've taken in your home, a teen of color not your own with a disability.

  15. This may be the only subject where social conservatives have an argument, as far as pushing their moral agenda on others. Why? It is fair to argue that an unborn baby qualifies as a human life. It is also a fair argument that all humans, regardless of whether or not they are tethered to another human via an umbilical cord, has same right to live as all humans do. Therefore, it is a fair agrument to say that a mother does not have the right to decide to end her child's life in or out of the womb.

Controversial issue, but unlike g*y rights, teaching creationism in schools, etc, the abortion issue is different because of the complexity of when human life begins and when rights should be afforded.

  16. Personally, I don't agree with abortion.  If a woman is not fit to raise a baby, she should give the baby to an adoption agency.  If a woman was impregnated due to rape, she should still give up the baby up for adoption.  Protecting a fetus' possibility at life holds more weight than a woman trying to shortcut her way to a convenient life.

This is the only issue I disagree with Obama.

  17. My personal choices don't include taking someone elses life.
