Do you think that anti-depressants are going to have a negative effect on the people of our country? Do you think that in 30 years we will see an incredible increase in Alzheimer's or other diseases because of these? I need anti-depressants... I feel much better with them, but I'm too scared to take them because of the negative effects I think they might have. Please only answer if you have researched or know about this subject. I'm not suicidal. I can live without them... just not as comfortabely

  1. Anti-depressants, as an idea, are great. There are a variety of "good" uses, uses for which the anti-depressant was originally designed. However, there has been an exponential increase in the amount of anti-depressants being prescribed for those who do not need them. If this trend continues, then humans as a whole will become more resistant to the effects of the anti-depressants, and in the process, there are going to be some mutations and something is bound to go wrong.

  2. look into "Tianeptine", its a prescription in EU, and you can legally import it OTC to the US, its far safer and more effective than anything from US pharmacy

  3. Any condition where you "need" a drug, no matter how good the drug makes you feel afterwards, is unhealthy.

I would recommend seeing a counciller or psychiatrist about your depression.  Pehaps instead of focusing on how to REACT to it, they can help you realize the ROOT of it, and how you can effectively manage it.

    Best of luck.
