  1. do not mix herbal meds with your doc meds.  St johns Wort caused problems with mine and I will not tell you,

  2. I've been looking and there's no studies about interaction between SSRI's (Citalopram pharmaceutical family) and Valerian, Hops or Gentian (Kalms active ingredients), but there's still a chance that they really interact, so I guess it's best to ask to your physician for a different treatment for your sleep problems...

  3. I took Kalms when I was on anti-depressants with no problems.  May be an idea to talk to the pharmacist though - they are trained in the way different products work together so may be able to give you more of an idea of what the problem might be.

  4. Usually it is not recomended to be on prescription medication and on herb.  Why doing you ask your doctor for a prescription sleeping medication?  That way you would be sure there are no interactions.

  5. I certainly would not have mix the two.   What were you  trying to do to yourself?

I can't even have a small glass of wine, without getting a terrible headache.

You need not to mess around with anything except water when you are on an antidepressant.
