Antique collectors?

anyone no where i can find sum1 who collects old stuff and how do i get it appraised? i live in a small town and nuttin around here to have it appraised

There are a few things you can do. First, do research on the internet for the kinds of items you have.

Second, go on Ebay and look for similar items and see what the sellers say about them. Ebay also has tutorials about different kinds of antiques by people who specialize in selling them so look into that.

Third, look at any markings on the bottom if the piece is metal, glass, or ceramic and try to find those marks with an internet search.

The value of antiques is dependent on so many factors including any damage to the piece that it won't be easy. You can also take photos of the pieces, notate any identifying marks and the measurements of the items, and send the pics and info to an auction house like Christies or an antique appraiser in a larger city. They will appraise items for a fee.
