Antique document Question?

I'm going on a plane but I'm carrying some original James Madison documents. Will the x-ray harm the documents at all? I imagine that they wouldn't but I just wanted to check. They're too valuable to harm.

  1. The X-Rays won't harm the paper, however I am wondering why you are traveling with these documents?  I would donate them to a museum known for the preservation of historical artifacts rather than risk carrying them or storing them myself.  Good luck on your trip.
