Question:

Antique jewelers in Midwest (engagement rings)

I'm located in the Kansas City area and my girlfriend and I are shopping for engagement rings. She wants something that is antique, and we are struggling to find good antique jewelers in the area. We've mostly run across pawn shops and antique stores that have a few pieces of jewelry. We're hoping to find a store that specializes in antique jewelry and has a good selection of antique engagement rings. She likes that art deco/filigree look, and it's tough to find stores that carry it.

We're willing to travel a few hours if necessary, if there is a good store that has lots of antique jewelry. After all, you only get to go through this process one time, so why not have some fun with it?

Does anyone within a few hours of KC know of a good place? If so, any information on the store would be great appreciated.

  1. i had the same problem you are having I did a lot of shopping online to find the ones we liked and called up the store to see where it was at and then drove to see it ( one guy had a friend in my town that had a sore and shipped it to him for me to look at ( didnt buy that one but i did pay for his shipping cost)...i found mine at an estate sale...also call your local dimond broker in KC ( ask a jewler who it is there) and ask him for help...they usually know where to find stuff.
