I know I have McAfee, but get this pop-up that says my computer might be infected and to click for a scan. It doesn't look like other advertisement pop-ups and many come up at once....like 3. Is it safe? A scam? Thanks!

  2. If you get a pop up on your desktop that isn't from any application you know of, it's almost certainly a virus/malware.  DON'T click on it, or you may do even MORE damage to your computer.  I recommend downloading an anti-virus application and completely scan your computer.  Try NOD32 antivirus, it's shareware with a 30-day trial.  If you want an antivirus application that's freeware, try AVG antivirus.
