AntivirXP08 Bug on a computer

Sorry Nick , but I tried your suggestions and it has not done anything yet- I followed what you told the lady , and went to 285 clicked on it , pressed run and no result - This is a nasty little bug - It also keeps redirecting away from sites like Panda or Trend Micro home visit - Any other ideas please - Thank You

  2. get " Smitfraudfix " its free start computer in safe mode and run it. It will start in DOS box take 5 to 10 minutes to finish and give a report at the end telling you what it found and deleted

  3. AntivirXP08 is a fake antivirus. It is VERY difficult to get rid of so don't let these things happen again.

    To remove this, I've a link for you under my sources and make sure you follow the instructions from the link I gave you and you'll be fine.  It's a fake to convince you to think your computer is really infected and get you to download/buy another fake anti-virus/anti-spyware program to get you more infected.

    It is also recommended for you to download the good free anti-virus and anti-spywares. I have the links to all of them too. Choose 1 anti-virus and if you want to, you can choose more than 1 anti-spywares.

    Good antiviruses : Avira, AVG, Avast!

    Good antispywares : Spyware Terminator, Lavasoft Adaware, Spybot Search and Destroy, Super Antispyware.

    Run weekly scans with these!

    You can also download free virus removal tools from kaspersky & bitdefender.

  5. i know spyhunter can get rid of it, but you will have to pay for it. Not sure if there is a trial but you should try and google it

    It is very important to remove all the components of of the XP Antivirus 2008 and all the malware and trojans that it might have come bundle with (such as zlob.trojan, trojan.vundo and Trojan.Downloader). To effectively remove XP Antivirus 2008, you need to find some files in your system
