AntivirXP08 - How do I get rid of this c**p?

Question

When I downloaded a video player update from NBC.com to watch the Olympics, and this fake "antivirus" came with it, and it's wrecking my computer.

It's called AntiVirXP08.

How do I get rid of it safely, and effectively?

Also, how can I back up my computer if removing this thing goes badly wrong?

there is a real bad guy that lives in some of these downloads of antixp08 --trojan zlob--it really wreaks the operating system when it is delete out - the best way i have found is to go to ewido online scan and run the scan sometime it is a long scan....good luck   miktill
