Antivirus 2008 attacked my computer?

Anti virus 2008 has attacked my computer. it has changed the background and all the other settings with that. what shall and can i do.

  3. Uninstall Anti Virus 2008 and all its files. You then will mostly likely have to redo all your settings to what you want them, but it will prevent this from happening in the future. I had the same thing happen to me. Antivirus has had a lot of complaints about this issue and are currently working to fix it supposedly. Try going to wal-mart or another store and finding a different anti virus software, or you can even download one for a price from the internet. Good luck!

  5. AVG antivirus is a free anti-virus for personal use.  I've used it for 3 years and I haven't had any problems.  There are other protections you need too.

  6. Firstly, antivirus programs will NOT remove these as they are malicious codecs, although they may find reference to them and remove it but upon rebooting it's back again.

    Therefore you need to use a 'layered' approach to removing this parasite.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Removes Antivirus:

    Download, install, update and select Full Scan.

    Remove all infections that it finds after scan.

    Spybot S&D:

    Download, install, update and Immunize, then click 'Check for problems' then when complete select all and then 'Fix Checked'

    Disconnect your computer from the internet

    Run vundo

    Restart your computer

    Run the tool again to ensure no traces are left.

    If there are the reboot into Safe Mode and run FixVundo again.
