Antivirus 2009 keeps popping up all the time?

Its sooo annoying. I know its fake but how do I get it to completely STOP popping up? I always close the window whenever I see it but it gets really annoying.

sounds like a Virus first thing i would do is back up any files you want to keep because this is a real nasty virus and everytime i have worked on it I ended up rebuilding it

I had the same thing and I went to youtube.com and there was an instruction video on how to remove it.  It worked great!!!!!

Download Spybot, follow the steps then scan your computer.  It should catch whatever it is.

Its spyware.

Download Adaware to remove all the spyware, its free.

Also download a firewall like commodo.

Control-Alternate-Delete to Task Manager

Select processes tab

"End Process" of AV2009. That will get it off your screen while you use AVG, Avast! etc.

If you see a Red Shield in your Taskbar ( by clock) DON'T touch it!! That sets up the pop-ups and tries to get you to download THE Virus.
