Antivirus XP 2008 - How to Remove it?

Well,I was just randomly doing stuff over the internet,and then I find my background changed to a warning. Then I see an Icon that's named AntiVirus XP 2008. I heard this is a spyware,and I need help deleting it..I tried Add or Remove Programs,but it doesn't work either. So can I have some advice of removing it easily?Thank you for help.

This a very malicious scamware.  They will try to sell you the software to remove the viruses (multiple).  I tried to help my friend to remove this...it was tough...had to play in the registry.

My best advice....complete Windows Reinstall.

THE ONLY Microsoft backed fixed for Antivirus xp 2008 is Combo fix

make sure you turn off system restore first and run this

let it complete or it will change your time to military time ( very easy to correct )
