Antivirus XP 2008? What should I do??

Question

The other night I got Antivirus XP 2008 on my computer. I ran a full sweep of my computer, and removed all of the infected files. My Antivirus software said I needed to restart my computer to make sure the system was stable. Upon restarting, my computer came to the User Login screen. I typed my password in and now my computer will not even log on to my profile or the guest. What should I do???

Antivirus XP is pretty nasty, so I would recommend going through a three step of guides.  Just follow them and your problems will be over:

1) Follow the specific removal guide for Antivirus XP:

2) Follow the generic virus removal guide.  It's a long guide but it's very good at clearing out all traces of viruses from the computer:
