I removed it from my start menu, but I think it's still on my computer because my internet is slow and acting weird and occasionally I get redirected to the antivirus xp 2008 website.

You know those sites that tell you remove rhc and Iph or something like that from processes, I only saw rhccjdj0ea9e and I unchecked it. That's when it disappeared from my start menu, but I know it's still on my computer.

How can I remove this spyware? I can't even do a system restore.

  1. Antivirus XP 2008 is a new rogue anti-spyware program that is advertised through Trojans and other malware.

When you click on these ads, it will automatically download the installer for Antivirus XP 2008 and install it on your machine. In some cases, this program is installed without any intervention at all from you.

  4. Antivirus XP 2008 (or AntivirusXP2008, AntiVirXP08, AntivirusXP 2008) is a rogue antispyware program. This program is a clone of Xp Antivirus, XPAntivirus2008, Antivirus2008, Antivirus 2008. Or you can say that Antivirus XP 2008 is just XPAntivirus2008 by another name. Just like Xp Antivirus, Antivirus XP 2008 uses fake pop up messages, fake security warnings to trick user into buying "full" version of Antivirus XP 2008. Usually users can infect them self with Antivirus XP 2008 through a Trojan, like Zlob. Antivirus XP 2008 usually launches when user starts up Windows. Antivirus XP 2008 can generate tons of ads or pop ups that are very difficult to close. Users should remove Antivirus XP 2008 as soon as possible to safe their privacy and data!

  5. You need to click start then run type in regedit hit F3 type in the name you have above just as it apeaars and do a search for it in the registry delete all of the files that are assoiated with that filename rhccjdj0ea9e , if it won't let you run it then restart your computer in safe mode and do it that way. 6. Try the link below. It's a trojan and a real pain in the ***. A mate ended up reinstalling his XP. The third post down has the solution.

  7. I had this exact virus 2 weeks ago, go on www.download.com and down malwarebytes antivirus.  it's free forever.  Run it (it only takes about 20 minutes for me) and it can remove it.  You restart your computer and its back to normal, all you have to do then is delete all the shortcuts.
