Antivirus XP 2008 virus help!!?

Question

recently Antivirus XP 2008 virus got put on my computer. I managed to get it off of the computer but the computer is still not acting how it should. My background still has the warning message it set it as. And when i go to display properties to change my background the tabs to do it are missing. Any suggestions on how to fix all this would be great!

apparently you hadn't deleted all the files of antivirusxp 2008 as it still appears. here's antivirus xp 2008 removal tutorial: http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-antiviru...

it has all the files names of antivirus xp listed, so you can simply look for them on your computer and then delete.

if you have an antivirus program it should pick it up and delete the virus....

try avast and this will pick it up and delete it

and

also download spywareblaster and spybot search and destroy

also make sure the patches on your computer are up to date and that the pop up blocker is set to high.

also make sure the firewall is turned on in windows.

Hi dude..first u delete that virus with some anti virus like avast then terminate the program at task manager..then go to start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore and restore ur system..then after that istall anti malware at www.download.com then run it..give it a try..^^
