Antoine Kombouare to get respite from Paris Saint-Germain owners – Ligue 1 news
Long-term target, Carlo Ancelotti is not likely to immediately arrive at Paris Saint-Germain and current coach of the Ligue 1 giants Antoine Kombouare is likely to lead PSG in their Ligue 1 game against Nancy Lorraine on Sunday.
For several days, newspapers in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 boss Carlo Ancelotti to the managerial hot-seat at Parc des Princes. The Italian tactician was rumoured to have arrived in Paris to discuss a possibility of joining the training
ground at Camp des Loges but it is highly unlikely that the 52-year-old will join the cash laden Parisian outfit anytime soon.
Yesterday, Canal Plus claimed that the Italian would be taking the reins of PSG on Tuesday but this information is now being contradicted by L’Equipe which suggests that Kombouare would be on the bench when PSG face Nancy at the Parc des Princes.
However, this does not mean that Kombouare’s position is safe. On the contrary, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 and Al-Khelaifi want to sign Carlo Ancelotti. However, firing the experienced coach would certainly be received badly by both fans and players.
Players and fans alike have already spoken up for the Kanak coach who has certainly done a remarkable job for the ambitious side and is still trying to fill in the side’s deficiencies.
Reports now suggest that PSG are offering Kombouare a respite which is solely due to Ancelotti’s refusal to join the club instantly. The former AC Milan manager is currently a consultant at channel Sky where he is looking to review the end of the group stages
of this season’s UEFA Champions League.
Taking a look at Ancelotti’s career shows that he has only once replaced a coach during an ongoing season. It was in February 1999 when Ancelotti was given the managerial position at Serie A giants Juventus when Marcello Lippi left the Turin giants for personal
reasons.
Furthermore, Ancelotti has never been the type to jump on the first offer he receives. Before signing for Chelsea, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 player took a lot of time before finally joining the London giants in the summer of 2009.
As for Kombouare, the Kanak coach must be looking to keep on picking wins in order to save his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 which may still not be enough as the ambitious side want a high-profile coach which is something that Kombouare doesn’t have despite his vast experience.
