The former Udinese star joins Biancocelesti on-loan from Cesena; the midfielder looking forward to extend his stay at the capital club
New-signing, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Candreva-c6299, is looking forward to extend his stay at Stadio Olimpico Rome after joining the capital club on-loan from Cesena in the January transfer window.
Candreva was signed in the last minutes of the deadline day of the January transfer window after Lazio failed in the bid to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nilmar-c28044. The Cesena midfielder was subject of interest from host of top Italian clubs
but Edy Reja secured his signature.

The 24-year-old has revealed that he was surprised to hear about Lazio’s interest in him in the last hour of the January transfer window. The midfielder insisted that he was flattered by Lazio’s interest and could not say ‘No’
to a move. The combative midfielder is eagerly looking forward to start his career with Biancocelesti.
The Rome born midfielder insisted that he is extremely delighted to return to his homeland and is looking to remain here for the rest of his career. He insisted that he wants to prove that he deserves to wear the Lazio shirt.
While talking to the reporters, Candreva said,
“I’d never been in a situation like that before and I was told of Lazio’s interest in the last few hours. I immediately said yes as Lazio are a great side. I can’t wait to start this new adventure as I’m arriving at a top club.
The important thing now is to do well and demonstrate that I can be a Lazio player in the future too. I’m Roman and to be back home is wonderful. I’m really happy.”
The Italian international joined Cesena on-loan from Udinese before the start of the ongoing 2011/12 season, and had a wonderful time with the Seahorses. He has scored one goal from 11 matches played this season.
Lazio have placed an option in the player’s contract which gives them the right to sign him on permanent basis in the summer.
