Antonio Candreva offers his backing for Giampaolo; Allegri delays signing an extension
Candreva backs Giampaolo
On-loan Cesena midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Candreva-c6299, has backed the under-fire manager, Marco Giampaolo, after a dismal start to the 2011/12 season.
The Seahorses have not yet registered their first win of the campaign and find themselves on the bottom of the league table. The manager is under severe pressure and reports in the media suggest that the weekend game against Parma
will decide his future at the club.
Candreva, who joined the Seahorses on-loan from Udinese in the summer, believes that the club should give Giampaolo more time to settle as he is a great coach and has good understanding with the team.
While talking to the reporters, Candreva said, “I believe that Giampaolo is a great Coach. We have to continue following his ideas.”
Cesena have managed to get only three points in the eight games played thus far and Candreva insists that the players should be blamed for the poor results and not the manager.
The 24-year-old added that the manager is working day and night but unfortunately results are not speaking for his dedication and commitment. The former Ternana star has urged his teammates to continue their hard work and they
must look to register their first win of the season.
“It’s horrible to work so hard and then not be rewarded with the right results. We have to continue working though and stay united ahead of our next game on Sunday against Parma.”
Giampaolo joined the club in the summer after resigning from his Catania post. The Seahorses had a tough 2010/11 campaign as well and managed to survive the relegation by just one position.
Allegri will wait for new contract

A.C Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, is willing to wait until the end of the 2011/12 season to sign an extension to his contract with the club.
Allegri has stated that he has talked to the club officials and has told them that he needs some time before signing a new contract.
“I have already spoken to Vice-President http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani and I have decided that I won’t talk to him about my situation again until June.”
The 44-year-old helped the Rossoneri to win the league title in his first year in charge at the club last season.
