The former Real Madrid star making steady recovery after heart surgery, and targets six month return
A.C Milan striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Cassano-c6302, has admitted that he feels lucky to be still alive, and feared the worst when he heard about the heart surgery.
The striker suffered a shock ischemic stroke in the bus, while returning from the club’s league game earlier this year. He was diagnosed with a heart problem, and underwent a surgery. The striker has been ruled out of action until
the end of the ongoing season.
Cassano admitted that he feels lucky to be still alive, and when he heard about having a heart operation, he feared that his career is over. The striker is targeting a return in six months, and is hoping to represent http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 in the
Euro 2012 next year. The former Sampdoria star is on the road to recovery, and he admitted that the doctor has advised him to walk only.
While talking to the reporters, Cassano said, “It was unexpected, but the important thing was to live. I have to wait six months to play again. Meanwhile, I walk, walk, walk. With all the kilometres that I’m doing I’ll be arriving
in Bari.”
The former Real Madrid star was a main man for the Italian Champions in the early part of the campaign when other strikers were injured. He featured in all of the first 12 games of the 2011/12 season, and was an influential figure
behind his team’s early success.
Cassano admitted that he is really missing his strike partnership with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029, and the Swede is urging him to return to action soon. The 29-year-old admitted that he has great relationship with everyone in the Milan
camp, and he is really looking forward to return to action soon.
“He is one of my best friends, even though he puts pressure on me to return. I have a great relationship with him and with everyone at Milan. It is strange that I have a beautiful relationship with everyone, but it’s true.”
