Antonio Cassano to pay Real Madrid 5 million Euros to make his AC Milan move
If the latest reports coming out of Italy are to be believed, Antonio Cassano is reportedly ready to pay Real Madrid 5 million Euros; a clause in his Sampdoria contract, to make the much anticipated switch to Real Madrid.
The mercurial forward was with Los Merengues for two seasons, from 2006 to 2008, but failed to make an impact as disciplinary and fitness issues plagued the forward for the two seasons there. Cassano only managed a measly 19 league
appearances in those two years. UC Sampdoria came to his rescue as Real Madrid dumped out the striker for a minimal fee. However, the transfer was completed with the clause that should Il Talentino be sold to another club in the future, Real Madrid will be
paid 5 million Euros.
After three highly successful seasons with Blucerchiati, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Cassano-c6302 has hit the headlines for all the wrong seasons in recent months as the forward has fallen out with the club president, Riccardo Garrone. Cassano was told
to attend a club event by the president but the talisman failed to turn up, leaving Garrone fuming. The two had a highly publicised training ground war of words and in the aftermath, Garrone applied for termination of the forward’s contract.
Despite Cassano issuing public apologies on numerous occasions, Garrone has turned a deaf year and after much time, the Italian courts decided in the favour of Cassano, his contract will not be terminated. However, Cassano will
be suspended till February and his wages will be cut by half if he stays with the contract. Despite winning the case, Il Talentino de Bari’s relationship with the club has gone beyond repairs and a divorce looks imminent.
AC Milan have confirmed their interest in Cassano’s services and a deal is in the pipelines. However, AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has publicly refused to pay the 5 million Euros. Even his excellent rapport with Florentino Perez
could not bear fruit http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AS-Real-c38478 Madrid have reportedly refused to waive off the clause.
Cassano is now expected to pay the clause all by himself so that he can make his switch at the earliest. The forward was given an AC Milan jersey in an Italian show and his reaction was. “It Suits me, doesn’t it?” – Good words
for the Rossoneri faithful.
