The Bianconeri manager insists that the team should be proud of the fact that they are Scudetto challengers once again; believes victory requires head, heart and legs.
Antonio Conte believes that it is a moment of pride for his team, that is back to playing the high profile games once again, and he attributed the success of the club to the hard work of the players.
The Bianconeri were three points ahead of the chasing AC Milan, but the lead was cut short when the Old Lady’s match against Lecce ended in a stalemate.
Conte insisted that the team is back onto the centre stage of Italian football, and the club should take pride in the fact. The manger insisted that the great achievement of the squad would have been impossible, without the contributions of everyone from
staff to players and the President.
The Bianconeri tactician stated that the fact that the team is the frontrunner for Scudetto, should only serve to motivate the squad even more.
While talking to the press, the 42-year-old said:
“We are back to experiencing these high profile games and I think that is the most positive aspect of all. All of this is thanks to the work done by the club, the staff and the players. We should be full of pride to be challenging for the Scudetto with two
rounds to go and that must motivate us even more.”
Antonio Conte stated that the game of football never fails to deliver surprises, and advised that the players should focus completely on the present. The Bianconeri chief stressed that they want to achieve something super-extraordinary, and that will require
the use of head, heart and legs, in that order.
The mind may well be the most important component for Juventus, as they will play Cagliari in their next Serie A fixture, and another slip-up like that of Buffon, could end their hopes of Serie A title.
However, the Old Lady chief insisted that the disappointment at the hands of Lecce, has filled the team with even more hunger for victory. He stated that the lads understand the importance of this historic moment, and do not need any more motivation speeches
from him.
