The former Siena boss has reiterated the need of Old Lady to feature regularly in the UEFA Champions League, while commenting on Juve’s progress this season.
The Old Lady Head coach has guided the club to a meteoric rise, one reminiscent of their glorious past. Given the problems the club has had to
face due to the Calciopoli scandal along with their subsequent relegation, the plaudits he has received are well deserved too.
Juventus have been constantly developing after the scandal hit the club, which got them stripped off two Scudetto, which were later awarded to

The Lady Killers had finished in the seventh position in their last two seasons prior to this campaign. Their achievement this season appears
even more impressive when looking at the comparison before and after Conte’s arrival.
They have been embroiled in a season long battle with AC Milan for the Scudetto, and trail the Rossoneri by four points. Despite their achievements
this season, Conte has mentioned that European football was his target for the season, and they should not lose track of that. He further went on to state that there were targets to season and aspirations he had, and they needed to put things in perspective,
further remarking:
“There are minimum objectives which I wouldn’t sign for and dreams which I chase, but in the knowledge that they are difficult to achieve. I was asked to
take the team back into the Champions League ... as well as an attraction to tempt great players here.”
When reflecting on their progress and the potential difference between the Diavolo and the Bianconeri, the former Lecce man stated:
“The problem is that Milan are a few years ahead of us. We’ve narrowed the gap with the rest, but not with Milan. As well as buying new players
you need to grow as a team. A lot of these players were not used to the mental stress which they have felt this season. We lack experience.”
Conte’s men face http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 this Sunday in the Serie A.
