Juventus head coach, Antonio Conte, is content with his side’s performance against bottom-placed Lecce. The Old Lady registered a 1-0 win over the Giallorossi on Sunday, January 8.
However, the coach insists that it was not the best of the performances from the Turin giants, and has demanded more from his team in the future games. The 42-year-old hailed the attitude his team showed throughout the match, and
believes that the defenders did a great job against an aggressive Lecce attack force.
While talking to the club’s official website, Conte said:
"We’re happy about the points, even if we could have wrapped the game up earlier. In terms of performance, we can do better. However, I liked how the lads wanted to seal the victory, working really hard right until the end. I already
said on the eve of the game that the championship restart is always an unknown territory."
Juve extended their unbeaten streak to 17 league games, and are still joint-top of the league table alongside defending champions, AC Milan.
