This can be seen by the fact that Serie A has one of the highest numbers of sackings in European football; and this fickle nature usually instils a fear among managers, which does not allow them to perform to their desired level. However, the achievements
of Antonio Conte at the Juventus Arena have been nothing short of miraculous; for a team who had barely managed to achieve seventh place in two seasons prior his arrival saw them embark on an unbeaten run in the Serie A; eventually landing them the crown of
the much sought after Scudetto.
This has risen the profile of the former Siena head coach, who is currently serving his ban for the allegations mounted against him in the Scommessopoli scandal. His involvement in the Juve set up has been restricted to the training ground; as he is banned
from being on the field of play during matches, or being present at the half time locker room talks during the matches. This ban is extended to the UEFA Champions League as well.
Pogba was talking to Tuttosport and during his conversation with the magazine, he went on to praise the manager and also reflected on the input by Conte during training sessions, and remarked:
“Could Conte become a pillar of the international game like Ferguson? He certainly can. He’s a great Coach, a great manager. I speak with him and all of the coaching staff. He tells me that I have to improve and he is right.”
The 19-year-old arrived from Manchester United in the summer transfer window on a free transfer.
