The Bianconeri head coach hopes that the Roma striker would impress in the second half of the season just like the summer signing Andrea Pirlo. Borriello came to Turin on loan transfer deal earlier this week.
Juventus head coach, Antonio Conte, is looking forward to see AS Roma loaned striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Borriello-c23672, in action with the Turin giants. The tactician hopes to see Borrello hit the ground running, just like the summer signing, Andrea Pirlo, did after his arrival from AC Milan
Borriello has been signed on a loan deal until the end of the 2011/12 season, for a reported 0.5 million Euros loan fee. Moreover, Juve reserve the right to buy the player outright at the end of the season for a quoted 8 million Euros. The Italian international left http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 with ambitions to find more first team action and if he is able to impress with Juve, the Lady Killers would offer him a permanent contract.
Regarding the player's arrival, Conte said to Tuttosport:
"We hope that Borriello can do as well as Pirlo has.”
The 28-year-old hitman will be joining a crowded attacking department at Juve and will have to compete against the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Matri-c4733. However, the 42-year-old Juve boss believes that La Vecchia Signora are a great team and they need to have a long list of options.
"I do not understand people who talk about problems of abundance. Juve must have a great team. The players need not fear competition.”
Furthermore, the coach commented on their current league situation and insisted that defending champions AC Milan have an edge over his team.
"They have something extra: staff and players that are more accustomed to fighting for the championship. The cup competitions are not a burden. In my career I won the league three times and also reached the final of the Champions League in the same season,” concluded Conte.
Juve resume their Serie A campaign on January 8, after the winter break, against the bottom of the league outfit, Lecce.
