Antonio Conte linked to Juve
AC Siena manager, Antonio Conte, has become a leading contender to replace Luigi Del Neri as the Juventus manager.
Juve have had a dismal 2010/11 campaign and they are lying on the 7th spot of the Serie A table. With only one match left to play in the league, the Turin based side is most likely to miss out on next year’s UEFA Europa League as well.
According to the reports in Italy, the former Juve midfielder is expected to replace Del Neri after the ongoing season and the 41-year-old has held talks with the club director general, Beppe Marotta.
Juventus have been linked with a host of names to take over the managerial role, including the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323. However, news in the media suggests that Conte has agreed a two-year deal with the club.
Hoeness excited with Heynckes arrival
Bayern Munich President, Uli Hoeness, is excited to work with the new club manager, Jupp Heynckes, in the 2011/12 campaign.
Heynckes will take over from the acting club manager, Andries Jonker, before the start of the next season. The Bavarians had a miserable 2010/11 campaign and finished the season without any silverware.
Hoeness is confident that Heynckes can change the things at the club next season and hopes to impose pressure on the opponents from early on.
"I am really looking forward to working together with Jupp Heynckes and I am confident that things will be better at Bayern Munich next year at this stage than they are now," added Hoeness
"We have to think about it how we can make sure that things will be better next term. Bayern Munich should be like everybody knows the club again. We should fight for the Bundesliga title right from the start of the season. We never did that this year."
Hoeness added that the club have already made their most important transfer of the summer by capturing the former Bayer Leverkusen manager and is hoping that he will unite the team and guide them to glory.
